The main reason for a third party license is to allow, or better, to foster gamers to create contents for the VI∙VIII∙X KUP RPG and, moreover, to support the KUP model this game embeds. This license fits this need and hopefully is a warm invitation to contribute to the VI∙VIII∙X KUP RPG.

I. APPLICATION

By complying to the whole license you are allowed to publish material based upon and/or declaring compatibility with  the VI∙VIII∙X KUP RPG without express permission from the author. Any content from VI∙VIII∙X books may not be reused or translated, unless you have an explicit permission. The mechanics and game rules of VI∙VIII∙X may be freely referenced. VI∙VIII∙X non-fungible tokens (NFT) are not allowed.

II. IP, BRAND & LOGOS

Your product can use the VI∙VIII∙X, Knight of the Lake, ProudTS Product logo only upon an explicit permission. Instead, both the logo KUP RPG and the VI∙VIII∙X compatibility one are freely usable (the logos can be downloaded and used from annex A). Your product should never be structured (like layout, fonts, colors) in a way that it could give the impression of an official VI∙VIII∙X product or that we endorse or sponsor you in any way unless you have agreed it with the VI∙VIII∙X author.

III. LEGAL

Knight of the Lake Game and the VI∙VIII∙X author take no responsibility for any legal claims against your product. Any legal disputes, controversies or claims related to this license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy and be settled in the court of Trieste, Italy. 

IV. DUTIES

For any product compatible with the VI∙VIII∙X KUP RPG, the text in the annex B must be included in the legal text, somewhere visible in your publication, and on the website or storefront where you promote the product. The text in the annex C must be legibly included somewhere in the product and on the storefront.

"[Product name] is an independent production by [Author or Publisher] and is not affiliated with Knight of the Lake Games or the VI∙VIII∙X author. It is published under the VI∙VIII∙X Third Party License."
