Some fresh ideas! The sowing of morality into the backbone of the resolution system is something I havn't seen elsewhere. The interplay created by the PC player not knowing where exactly their actions have taken them on the morality graph has to create some interesting interactions.

That's an interesting lean into morality! I'd be interested in reading about the ideation and design process that went into it.

Hello Michael, that’s the story of this game!!! It started back in 2003… where I had the idea to build an RPG on the agiography: the purpose was that any Saint had something to teach us… I landed in 2022 with the playtest of VI·VIII·X!

If you browse in my posts and search for “morality” you’ll get 44 posts (out of 204!)… this give you the idea that this is the most important concept in the game…

The design of Morality in the Hackssential edition is a strengthening of the original concept in VI·VIII·X: this is to give more importance to the definition of Path of a character and keeping it consistent throughout the game! This detail will certainly sign the failure of my game as people don’t want such a contraint in RPGs… (albeit people should understand it is necessary, at least for young RPGers!).

This is in a nutshell, however I’d think to write a new post about Morality (AGAIN!). May the fun be always at your table!
