This one's for all the RPG fans out there who live somewhere between passionate collector and die-hard old-school enthusiast!
An incredible English fellow, coming from quite the legendary background (his brother was the editor of a well-known UK zine in the ‘70s!), embarked on a remarkable project a few years ago. His goal? To map out every single adventure published between 1975 and 1979 (he originally set out to chart the entirety of the '70s, starting from the birth of D&D*), and then bring them back for today’s players completely free of charge.
That’s how the project Original Scenarios Resurrected came to life. And as of now, it boasts a whopping 11 adventures brought back from the golden age of role-playing:
I. The Solo Dungeon (1977)
II. The Complete Barbarian (1977–79)
III. The Temple of Psaan (1980)
IV. The Complete P'teth Tower (1978–79)
V. P'teth Tower (The Parts) (1978–79)
VI. Clearwater Caverns (1979)
VII. Kandroc Keep (1979)
VIII. The Devil’s Quagmire (1980)
IX. Kandroc Keep II (1980)
X. The Tomb of the Waning Moon (1979)
XI. The Tower of Mrannor (1980)
For anyone with a love for the roots of the hobby, this is a treasure trove of authentic, original adventures from the earliest days of RPGs, including a solo dungeon: don’t miss the chance to dive in!
Enjoy the journey back in time and may the fun be always at your table!
* Bonus for the collectors/researchers: the project also includes 10 posts cataloging every adventure produced during that pivotal time: 70s Timeline. Don’t miss it, as it is a huge resource for any intrepid collector!
